Samriddhi Tiwari

Samriddhi Tiwari is a contemporary jewellery designer from India, whose design language leans towards merging the ethics and values of traditional techniques with modern technology to create wearable sculptural forms.
Her passion lies in exploring the space between culture, heritage, and contemporary sensibilities, while also focusing on aspects of sustainability and ethical production.
Samriddhi draws significant inspiration from her Indian heritage and considers it a crucial part of shaping her interest and values in design. She completed her Master's degree at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and is currently working as a jewellery designer based in London.

An amalgamation of traditional techniques and contemporary forms, Sculptured Weave explores the bamboo and cane craft of India, its cultural identity, exquisite patterns, and techniques, reinventing this tradition to bring a piece of traditional India into contemporary form.

In a globalised, multi-cultural world, the collection seeks to celebrate the ideals and significance of traditional approaches and their potential for fusion with modern technology through the use of eco-friendly materials and ethical production. It combines the artisans' traditional bamboo handcrafting skills with modern manufacturing methods to create a contrast and present a collection that is architectural and structured, with a softer organic feel to it.

Sculptured Weave is designed as a tangible memory and reflection of Indian heritage and creativity, expressed through the movement created by patterns and connections formed through bamboo and cane. The patterns link the past and the present, embodying tradition, heritage, values, and the stories that have shaped this craft.
