Sijia Chen

The project uses animation to allow edible landscapes to act as actors and the dinner table as a stage. Connections to edible landscapes, including soil conditions, climate change, irrigation techniques, and community activities, are shown. The animation is projected on the dining table and interacts with the audience to demonstrate the design and implementation process of edible landscapes to reflect the politics of edible landscapes, ecological sustainability, and community collaboration. The animation uses mushrooms as a representative of edible landscapes, showing the impact of ecological change on edible landscapes by showing changes in mushroom species and forms and human responses, and showing the impact of edible landscapes on humans in a favourable ecological environment.
